Events :: Graduate Seminars :: So You Want to Drill and Produce a Well? by Ron Grantham, V.P. Engineering Arkwood Engineering, Inc.

*This presentation is in Room 2.204 in the CPE Building, at 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2008*

Have you thought about the Tobusch Fishhook Cactus? Have you figured out how you will move your products out? What equipment are you going to need? Did you get your state environmental permit before producing? Is one needed?

The primary focus of most production engineers is finding and developing oil and gas resources. The required environmental permitting is often overlooked which can cause significant issues down the road. My presentation will provide a general overview of various permitting requirements that can affect the placement and production of oil and gas wells in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Included will be some actual cases where significant delays were encountered due to permitting problems.
