Events :: Graduate Seminars :: Visualization of fluid transport in fractured rocks using X-ray Computed Tomography by Dr. Zuleima Karpyn, Pennsylvania State University

Zuleima Karpyn is assistant professor of petroleum and natural gas engineering in the Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. Her teaching and research interests are reservoir characterization and multiphase transport phenomena in porous media, including applications in reservoir engineering, underground hydrology, and environmental remediation. She holds a BS in chemical engineering from Central University of Venezuela, and MS and PhD in petroleum and natural gas engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Karpyn is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Society of Core Analysts, and the American Geophysical Union. Dr. Karpyn is also technical editor for the Reservoir Evaluation & Engineering Journal and section chair of the Pittsburgh petroleum section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
