Current Students :: Graduates :: BS/MS Program

PGE is offering a 5-year program in which BS candidates can earn an MS degree in one additional year rather than the traditional two years. This degree plan is "no thesis, no report" and is designed for currently enrolled BS candidates in the Petroleum & Geosystems Engineering department at the University of Texas at Austin. Our graduate program is rated #1 in the country by US News and World Report and is recognized worldwide for its excellent curriculum, modern facilities and outstanding faculty.

In order to be accepted into this program, eligible students must meet all requirements for admission to the PGE graduate program. For more information about the PGE graduate application and admissions process, please refer to our website, specifically: http://www.pge.utexas.edu/prospective/graduate.cfm where there are links to detailed information about the application process.

The program requires pre-planning so students need to meet with their advisor as early in the process as possible in order to create the optimal schedule for the BS/MS degrees.
