Christopher J. Jablonowski, PE

Ph.D., Energy, Environmental and Mineral Economics
The Pennsylvania State University

Dr. Jablonowski joined the faculty in 2005, and serves as Associate Director of the Energy and Earth Resources Graduate Program. He has ten years of experience in industry, government, and consulting. His research portfolio is comprised of topics in engineering economics and management. Current areas of research include:

  • Stochastic optimization of complex oil and gas projects, including specification of appropriate surrogates for reservoir behavior, and development of methods for estimating the value of information and the value of flexibility
  • Statistical analysis of safety and environmental performance with a focus on models of incomplete detection
  • Drilling management and operations, including organizational design, technology assessments, cost estimating methods, and input market analysis.
