Congratulations to Dr. Paul Bommer 2009 recipient of the ConocoPhillips Faculty Sponsorship Program. The award includes a check for $25,000 to be used during the
next year. The winners come from ten different universities, and among them, Dr. Bommer is the only winner from the University of Texas, and is one of only three
winners who are engineers. According to ConocoPhillips, one of their interests was in identifying faculty whom students described as influential, or as a mentor
and Dr. Bommer’s name was put forward very early in the nomination process. Congratulations Paul!
