News :: PGE Presents at SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Conference

UT PGE was highly represented at The SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference held February 6-8 in The Woodlands. Drs. Mukul Sharma and Jon Olson had a total of five papers presented throughout the three day conference on a variety of niche topics, including: modeling, fracture diagnostics, environment and shale. Dr. Sharma also served as a session chairperson in the shale category. Several UT graduate students and a research fellow attended as well as they were contributors to the papers or were sitting in on the sessions to gain additional knowledge in the discipline. This conference has now become an annual event in light of the rapidly expanding application of hydraulic fracturing. For more information, visit: http://www.spe.org/events/hftc/2012/index.php
