News :: Bryant Methane Hydrate Project Funded

The U.S. Department of Energy recently announced that a cost shared research and development proposal by Drs. Steven Bryant of this department and Ruben Juanes of M.I.T. has been selected for funding. The aim of Bryant's project is to quantify how methane is distributed and transported within a hydrate resource area. This is one of six Methane Hydrate projects which are intended to "unlock" this potential source of hydrocarbon energy.

The project will last for four years, and the DOE award amounts to $1.074 million. Congratulations to all!
