News :: PGE Faculty Make Their Marks as Editors

The Society of Petroleum Engineers recently recognized two PGE faculty members for their outstanding efforts as editors/reviewers during 2010. Assistant Professor Christopher J Jablonowski was recognized with an Outstanding Associate Editor Award for his work on the journal SPE Economics and Management. The award was given, “In recognition of exceptional effort in ensuring the technical excellence of the Society’s permanent literature."

Mojdeh Delshad, Research Associate Professor, was honored with the “Peer Apart” award which is given to members who have been involved in the peer review process for 100 or more papers. Mojdeh is one of five individuals who were given this award in 2010. In the December issue of the Journal of Petroleum Technology the article "SPE Editor Awards" states, “Members who commit their time to peer review papers make substantial contributions to the industry’s literature by helping to ensure that the papers published in SPE’s technical journals are of the highest quality." These awards were presented at the SPE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition. Congratulations to Chris and Mojdeh.
