News :: Shell Sponsors Longhorn Training Camp

Shell is sponsoring a Longhorn Training Camp January 8 - 13, 2006 at their Training Center in Robert Louisiana. This camp which will be conducted during our winter break, consists of hands-on training in Production Operations (2 days), Drilling and Well Control (1 day) and Health, Safety & Environment (1 day). Forty PGE students were invited to attend the camp, based on their academic records; Drs. Tim Taylor and Paul Bommer will also attend. Due to Hurricane Katrina, Shell Offshore was operating out of the facility for several months, but the facility has resumed its normal operations.

This is the second Shell Longhorn Training Camp. The first one, held last winter break, was hugely successful.
