Professor Russell Johns is to receive the Distinguished Member Award for 2009 from the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
The Society describes the award as, "a means of acknowledging members who have attained eminence in the petroleum industry or the academic community,
and/or who have made unusually significant contributions to SPE." This award is limited to one percent (1%) of the Society membership, excluding students.
Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.
Dr. Johns will be honored at the Society of Petroleum Engineers Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition
in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 5th.
