Congratulations to Dr. Carlos Torres-Verdín and graduate student Alberto Mendoza; they and their co-author
William E. Preeg, have been named 2007 recipients of the Best Poster Award from the
Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts. Their paper, "Rapid Simulation of
Borehole Nuclear Measurements with Approximate Spatial Flux-Scattering Functions" was
presented at the SPWLA Annual Symposium in June of this year. They will be recognized
at the 2008 Annual Symposium which will be held in Edinburgh
Scotland, May 25-28th.
