News :: Spisak Wins 2nd at AADE Poster Contest

Kudos to graduate student Ben Spisak who placed second in the American Association of Drilling Engineers Student Poster Contest. The contest was held at the 2010 AADE Drilling Fluids Technical Conference & Exhibition in Houston on April 6 and 7th. The competition included students from Louisiana State University, Texas A&M University, University of Alaska, University of Calgary, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, the University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa. Ben, a student of Dr. Martin Chenevert, presented his work on "Using Nanoparticles to Achieve Wellbore Stability in Shales." This award included a $1000 check and a bronze medal. Congratulations Ben!
