The SPE Gulf Coast Student Paper Contest was held April 4-5 in Austin. Students from the University of Texas at
Austin, Texas Tech University, Texas A&M University, Louisiana State University, University of Louisiana Lafayette, University of
Oklahoma, University of Houston, Montana Tech, Penn State University and Yale University all competed in the event. First place
finishers in this competition will be sent to the 2008 International Student Paper Contest at the SPE Annual Technical Conference &
Exhibition which will be held in Denver Colorado in September. The results of the competition are:
Undergraduate Division

Masters Division
- 1st Waleed Fazelipour - University of Texas
