This summer five undergraduates from various engineering disciplines joined the Petroleum
& Geosystems Engineering Department as research interns in a program directed by Dr. Sanjay Srinivasan. The internships ran from June 4 to August 10 and were a rousing success. The program
included weekly meetings, research seminars, and social activities, as well as time in the lab. The
experience awakened participant interest in graduate school as well
as in petroleum engineering. The ten week program culminated in an open forum at which the student
researchers presented their findings. Interested undergraduate engineers, make a note, the application process for the summer 2008 internship program will begin in January.
