News :: Team Energy Runs Again

For the second year in a row, PGE has had runners in the 3M Half Marathon. Team Energy, a team of students and faculty runners, participated in the 3M Half Marathon on January 29th. The Half Marathon, a run of 13.1 miles, drew seven members of Team Energy: students Li Ji, Alan Kwok, Kelli Rankin, Assistant Professor Maša Prodanović, students Cigdem Metin, and Johann Rudi, pictured at right, and Professor Carlos Torres-Verdin, shown crossing the finish line. The team has not stopped after this race but is preparing for the Austin Marathon & Half Marathon on February 19th. Three of the Team Energy students are planning to run the full marathon, a first for these runners, and Torres-Verdin will also be running the full marathon (again). Congratulations to all participants.
