News :: Wheeler to Receive Humboldt Award

Dr. Mary Wheeler, who holds the Ernest and Virginia Cockrell Chair in Engineering has recently been elected the recipient of a Humboldt Research Award. This award, named after the German naturalist and explorer, Alexander von Humboldt, is the highest ranking academic prize that a foreigner can be awarded in Germany. Congratulations Mary, on this international recognition of your accomplishments. Dr. Wheeler will receive the award at a ceremony in June at Heidelberg Germany.
