Reading Room :: Information

The Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering Reading Room is a collection of essential books, journals, reports, theses, dissertations and other materials pertaining to petroleum engineering and energy and mineral resources. It is located in the CPE building in room 3.158, the Petroleum Engineering Alumni Room.

As a departmental reading room, it is not part of the University of Texas University Libraries. The Reading Room is open for 46 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, while classes are in session, and for 25 hours per week during the summer and intersession.

The Reading Room has been endowed by graduates of the Petroleum Engineering classes of 1941, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1954, 1959, and 1978.
