by
Henrik Wolter, MSE

University of Texas at Austin, 2000
Supervisor: Larry Lake

The Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Austin offers an undergraduate class in Physical and Chemical Behavior of Fluids II, PGE 421k. The belonging laboratory consists of a set of nine experiments developed by Dr. Larry Lake in cooperation with myself. This report includes a detailed description of the steps taken to develop the laboratory exercises. Derivations of the equations used in the theoretical part of laboratory exercises are included together with a set of results obtained in the experiments. At the end of each chapter a "discussion" section answers the questions asked in the laboratory exercise handout provided to the student. The actual laboratory exercises are included, in the original format, in the appendix. A description of the actual experiments and the results obtained follows in the introduction, Page 1.*

*Please note: this report will not circulate, nor will copies be made of it.
