Distinguished Alumni

UPDATE: Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Ceremony has been postponed. Unfortunately, the annual program will not take place in November 2020, but we are hoping to push it to the spring of 2021. Please stay tuned for updates as we receive event guidelines from the University.

For nearly a century, UT PGE has educated leaders who have shaped the oil and gas industry. In 2010, the Hildebrand Department created the Distinguished Alumni Ceremony to recognize the best among them - company executives, technological innovators and shrewd entrepreneurs who display an extraordinary commitment to the industry and our UT PGE community.

The Hildebrand Department Distinguished Alumni Ceremony Committee announced the 2019 honorees who are accelerating excellence:

Distinguished Alumni

Laurie W. "Larry" Folmar* (B.S. PE 1947)

James "Jim" Barnum (B.S. PE 1978)

James Dupree (M.S. PE 1983)

Charles "Chip" Rimer (B.S. PE 1983)

Michael Minarovic (B.S. PE 1987)

Rising Star

John Campbell III (B.S. PE 2009)

The program took place on Friday, Nov. 8 at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Austin.
