Ph.D. Petroleum Engineering
The University of Texas at Austin
Dr. Podio has served on the faculty since 1970 and is
presently assistant department chair. He specializes in
oilfield drilling and production operations. His research
interests include application of computers to real-time data
acquisition and control of production systems, drilling well
control and pumping operations, and application of
ultrasonics to determination of rock and fluid properties.
Dr. Podio has published more than 30 technical articles and
reports.
