Dr. Wheeler has been on the faculty since 1995. She is
the Director of the Center for Subsurface Modeling. She has
published over 200 technical reports and refereed journal publications, made over 400 oral presentations and edited eight books. She is
a member of the National Academy of Engineering.

- numerical solution of coupled nonlinear partial
differential equations
- fluid mechanics
- porous media
- carbon sequestration in saline aquifers
- parallel computation
