Providing exceptional, personalized academic support to UT PGE students is our top priority. We strive to give you the individual care and support you need to make informed decisions about your degree plan while encouraging you to consider opportunities that will enrich your academic experience on the Forty Acres. We value the experiences and ideas you bring to the department and aim to help you meet — and even exceed — your goals.

New Students

Incoming students will attend advising and course registration during new student orientation. Please be sure to register for UT Orientation after accepting your offer of admission. Also make sure you have a laptop computer that meets our minimum hardware requirements.

Current Students

If you need academic advising assistance, please get in touch through one of the following methods:
  1. Advising Appointment: Schedule a virtual or in-person academic advising appointment.

  2. In-Person Drop-In Advising: Drop in for quick academic advising help in CPE 3.168B. In-person drop-in sessions will typically be available at the following times.
    • Tuesdays
      8:30–11:30 a.m.
    • Wednesdays
      1:30–4:30 p.m.

  3. Virtual Drop-In Advising: In January, we’ll offer virtual drop-ins again to expand access to advising closer to the beginning of the spring 2023 term. Check back in January for more information!

A note about emails and phone calls: During peak advising periods, please allow additional time for email responses. Because your academic advisor will be hosting drop-ins and monitoring email, any phone calls and voice messages regarding advising and registration will not be regularly monitored.
